Should I replace my own power tubes?
Amplifier power tubes need to be installed in matched sets, and with exception to a few makes (ie Mesa Boogie), you need to have the amplifier bias adjusted to ensure correct operation. The amp might be working with the new tubes, but is it working properly? A few hundredths of an ampere of current can make the difference between reliable operation and burning out your expensive power tubes before their time.
